Fees
Buyers never pay a platform fee. The price you see plus the shipping shown is what you pay.
| Fee | Who pays | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Used-book commission | Seller | 12% of the item price |
| Listing fee | Seller | 0,28 € per listing |
| Ebook sales | Author | Author keeps 70% of list price |
| Print-on-demand sales | Author | Author keeps 40% of list price |
Example: a used book sells for 9,20 €. The seller receives 8,10 € after the 12% commission (1,10 €). Shipping paid by the buyer goes to the seller in full.
Held payments for used books
- When you buy a used book, your payment comes to us, not to the seller.
- The seller ships it and adds a tracking number.
- When it arrives, you confirm it's as described. If you don't confirm or open a dispute within 14 days of delivery, it confirms automatically.
- Then we pay the seller, minus commission.
New books, ebooks and print-on-demand editions are sold by us directly, so there is nothing to hold.
Condition grades
- Like new
- No visible wear. May have been read once.
- Very good
- Light wear to the cover or jacket. Pages clean.
- Good
- Visible wear, creases or a name inside. All pages present.
- Acceptable
- Heavy wear, marks or stains. Fully readable.
Sellers must describe any marks, stains or missing parts in the listing note. A book that doesn't match its grade or note is grounds for a dispute.
Disputes
If a used book doesn't arrive, arrives damaged, or isn't as described, open a dispute from the order page before the confirmation window closes. The payment stays on hold. The seller has 3 days to reply, and our staff review the messages and photos from both sides before deciding to refund you or pay the seller.
Author royalties
Royalties are credited when a sale completes and paid monthly on day 15 for the previous month. Statements in your author workspace list every sale by edition.
